I finished copy edits on INTIMATE just last night so it's now off to production, and waiting on final word from my editor on the edits I've done on REDEMPTION before it goes off to the copy editor. I haven't worked this hard for a long time, but I've gotten back into the flow of doing multiple books and had forgotten just how much I love it. And I haven't even mentioned FERAL PASSIONS! That's a sexy werewolf series you're going to love. I added an excerpt for that one as well. It's already got a cover--the book won't be out until September 15, but as fast as time is flying by, the summer will be over and the new release coming way too soon. I'm pretty proud of myself--it's not even the end of the month and I'm getting my newsletter done! Actually, there's a good reason to get it out--my very first story with my brand new publisher, St. Martin's Press, is coming out tomorrow. It's been a long time since I've written romantic suspense--my last one was over ten years ago, originally titles LAST OF THE O'ROURKES. It's been re-released as the second half of a duet, so if you want to make comparisons, look for LETHAL OBSESSION, which is paired in a bundle with LETHAL DECEPTION.
But, back to now--TANGLED is my story in HOT ALPHAS, and it's a prequel to my new romantic suspense series, INTIMATE RELATIONS, coming from St. Martin's Press in December. First book is INTIMATE on December 1, and the second is REDEMPTION on December 29. I'm working on the third book, AWAKENED, tentatively set for a June release.

Nate Dunagan and Cassie Phillips were such a fun couple to write, and I think you'll really enjoy the story and the introduction to the Intimate Winery and Tangled Vines vineyards--and you'll get a glimpse of the world where much of my series will be set. I'm actually working on a very brief synopsis for AWAKENED today--I need to at least give my editor an idea of what's coming in the final story, though what she sees in the beginning is rarely what I turn in when it's done. So far, she hasn't freaked out on me too badly. She's young--probably a lot more adaptable...

 | I posted this shot on Facebook a few days ago, and since then I've read Decadent by Adrianne Lee, which was wonderful--but I love all her BIG SKY PIE stories. They're sexy and satisfy the need for sweets--just reading about the pies has got to be fattening, and Adrianne always adds recipes in the back! Just finished G.A. Aiken's LIGHT MY FIRE last night. I love this girl's humor. She is a truly warped woman which I find so impressive. The first of the bunch that I read was Amanda Quick's GARDEN OF LIES. I've actually already read it |
twice, but I totally savor her stories because I know they will always leave me smiling. One other book I had the pleasure of reading--early, for a review--was Robyn Carr's next Thunder Point story, A NEW HOPE. It's got everything I want in a romance and if you're read Robyn's Virgin River stories but haven't gotten to her Thunder Point series, I highly recommend it.
I'm not sure which book I'm going to tackle next--I'm starting work on Awakened so don't want to get caught in something that won't turn me loose, which just about rules out any in the photo above. I imagine I'll be doing a lot of rereading of old favorites for the next few weeks.
I was hoping to have my author copies of Hot Alphas for a giveaway this month, but they haven't arrived yet, so I'm giving you a choice of any one of these books--add any you would be interested in when you enter, in the order you prefer.
