We left Portland this morning and followed the Columbia River Gorge almost to Idaho--we found a beautiful
the middle of the Snake River--it was clean and beautiful with blackberry bushes covered in berries next to our
campsite! I think I ate as many as I saved for our dinner. On our way down the gorge, we passed the town of
Rufus--our Rufus wasn't at all impressed.

|
I told Rufus we were passing a town named after him, but this is the look I got! He wasn't impressed at all...of course, he's taking doggy Prozac so he doesn't freak out on the trip (he doesn't do car well...) and that may have had something to do with his lack of excitement.

|
We've been watching our tape of the Ken Burns PBS documentary about the Corp of Discovery journey of Lewis and Clark while following their route--it's really coming to life for us.

Me picking berries...and eating as many as I picked!

I didn't eat all of them!
