It was COLD last night! Down into the twenties under a clear sky. I slept all bundled up in my mummy bag
with my jammies, my robe and my socks on and a heavy blanket on top and I STILL froze! Even Rufus stayed
under the covers. When Doug got up before six to go outside and listen to the bugling elk, I elected to remain
under the covers. Personally, I thought it was a brilliant decision!
We packed up early and headed out of Idaho and into Oregon, through more beautiful country. We've seen
everything from deep forest to high desert, and all of it has its own beauty. We camped tonight at a regular
RV campground with showers, a laundry and full hook-ups in Burns, Oregon--including Internet. Burns is just
about in the middle of nowhere! It was gorgeous driving through the desert to get here, though, and tonight
it's wonderfully warm, thank goodness!
This has definitely been an amazing trip...and I want to share a photo we got of our new grandson,
baby Owen with big sister Ella!
Big sister Ella and new brother Owen just hours after his birth.
The view of the lake from our campsite this morning.
Looking out of the door of the RV...what a view! That's Mt. McGown, in the Sawtooths.

We stopped in the Sawtooth Mountains to check out
a beaver dam.
|
It sprawled all the way across a convoluted series of
streams running through a marsh...couldn't find a beaver, though!
