I realized something after I'd been at RT for a couple of days. It's all about connecting. I was having a ball meeting so many new people, but without the anxiety I usually associate with meeting strangers. Then it hit me...first of all, a lot of them were not really strangers. If they've read my books, they know way more about me than they should! Plus, we're all very much alike. Suddenly I wasn't the only one in the crowd with a head full of characters crying to get out! Just about everyone I met heard voices in their minds and felt compelled to set them free in stories. It's a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by hundreds of people just as crazy as you are!
I wish I'd had more time in Club RT! What a great place to gab with authors and readers. Back row: Lena Austin, Kate Douglas, Dakota Cassidy, Sheri Fogarty and Kira Stone. Front: Morgan Hawk, Angela Knight and Margaret Riley aka Shelby Morgen.

Camille Anthony, Kate Douglas and Eve Vaughn.
I've exchanged email with "MelJPrincess" for ages...and here she is! Meeting readers and online friends is fantastic fun!

Lots of folks at Club RT--including Morgan Hawk in the black dress.

One day went WAY too long, so Sheri Fogarty and I, accompanied by two wanna-be-hookers, went to Burger King for dinner at midnight. Sheri and I, of course, looked like respectable authors. Michele Bardsley and Evangeline Anderson went way beyond the pale...we certainly got folks' attention walking down the street!

Flash aka Stephanie Burke, and Camille Anthony look as if they're actually behaving in this photo...however, there IS that twinkle in Camille's eye...

The "Spotlight on Changeling Press" drew a small but interested crowd. Editor-in-chief Sheri Fogarty, owner/publisher Margaret Riley aka Shelby Morgen, and publicity director/author Lena Austin. Thank goodness she left the goat at home...
What can I say about Shelly Laurenston, except the fact she had her face covered most times I saw her? Dakota Cassidy and Sheri Fogarty are behind her.
Joy of "Joyfully Reviewed," Dakota Cassidy, Sheri Fogarty and Shelly Laurenston. Now, if she hadn't been greeted ALL WEEK with, "Why, it's the famous Shelly Laurenston!!!" she might not have had to hide!
Changeling Press staff: Sheri Fogarty, editor-in-chief, Lena Austin, publicity, and Margaret Riley, ruler in chief and goddess of the universe as we know it.  If M threatens to sing to you, RUN! It means you're in deep poopoo...
Changeling Press hosted a wonderful luncheon for the authors. We, in turn, presented M with a butterfly pin and a certificate--a token of appreciation for running such a terrific company. Flash, of course, made the toast as only Flash can do!

(And for those who don't know her, that's Angela Knight leading the cheer)
The Faerie Ball was something else...That's Cheyenne McCray in her blue gown wrapping the Maypole. It really was a fun evening and the costumes were terrific.

Eve Vaughn and Morgan Hawke =>
Angela Knight and that guy again...and the one on the right is Denise Agnew in her costume for the Faerie Ball with her husband.
Sahara Kelly with wings. She will NOT live this down.
Kate Douglas hanging on to Angela Knight and hoping AK's talent will rub off.
The dancing was as much fun to watch as to do!
