Gramma June was here for a visit...our Monday night dinner was big!

Checking out Bompa's birthday gift.

I'm sure Luca was trying to convince Auntie Mel of something VERY important...or questionable...

We had a great Monday night dinner with Doug's mom here for a visit. Jon and Mel came out, but Tony was working, so just Sarah and the kids showed up for dinner.

Monday night dinner with Dabba and Bompa. (Doug tried to get Luca to call him "Grampa" instead of Bompa, and Luca looked at him like he was nuts. He's Bompa. Period.) Tony was working and Melanie was away for the weekend, so it was just Jon and Sarah and kids...

Luca brought his Thomas the Tank Engine video...he's only seen it a gazillioin times.

Doug and Luca found a new use for Rufus's dog bones...

They make great spyglasses....

|
Gracie discovered Bompa's socks...

This is how the cook looks AFTER dinner...ready for bed, right?
|
On a side note: I took Luca to Badger Park on Tuesday. He played with a little girl named Tiffany for awhile, then picked up a stick and bopped her on the head. I made him apolgize, which he did, but then he looked at me and said, "But DABBA, I was very gentle."
I don't think Tiffany appreciated the difference...

4th of July Weekend
|
We got to see the kids a lot over the long weekend. Jon, Mel, Sarah, Luca and Grace came up to Cobb for lunch on Saturday.
|

|
Sarah and Tony barbecued for all of us on Sunday, the 4th of July. Mel's parents, Mike and Carol were there as well.
|
Monday night dinners are a hoot...Tony works late and Sarah got in the habit of coming out with the kids. With Jon and Mel home this summer, the group has grown...

Grace is absolutely the best baby. She's very calm and smiles at everything...rolled over from her back to her tummy last night when Sarah put her down on our bed for a bit. She's every bit as blonde and blue-eyed as Luca is dark and green-eyed...we're really lucky to live so close to the kids.
